Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) should take care of the security of the country, the Narendra Modi government at the Center will take care of their families.
Launching the Ayushman Bharat CAPF Healthcare Scheme at the national level here, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always given paramount importance to the interests of the security forces and has taken several steps for their welfare.
Seven central armed forces implement the Ayushman Bharat CAPF Healthcare Scheme under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Designed to cover all serving personnel of police forces and their dependents.
Under this scheme, 35,58,773 security personnel will be given this card. As a result, CAPF personnel and their families will now be able to avail themselves of cashless in-patient and outpatient health facilities in all hospitals empanelled under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY or CGHS.
The scheme is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), and the National Health Authority (NHA). Under this scheme 32,972 personnel of NSG, 2,35,132 of Assam Rifles, 3,33,243 of ITBP, 2,54,573 of SSB, 4,66,927 of CISF, 10,48,928 of BSF, 11,86,998 personnel of CRPF will be provided .
The Home Minister launched the scheme by handing over the Ayushman Bharat CAPF Healthcare Scheme Card to personnel. He also handed over the health cards of Ayushman Bharat CAPF Healthcare Scheme to DG NSG for distribution to NSG personnel.
Health cards will be distributed to all the CAPFs, and the number of cards distributed will be displayed on the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) daily. The distribution of about 35 lakh cards will be completed by December this year.
Key Highlights of Ayushman Bharat CAPF Healthcare Scheme –
- To give paramount importance and interest to the Central Armed Police Force, the Center has taken this step to distribute Ayushman Bharat CAPF Healthcare care.
