Assam Baibhav Award: Ratan Tata to honor with Assam’s highest Civilian Award Assam Baibhav Award

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma, on December 2, officially announced that the Country’s top industrialist and social worker, Ratan Tata, to be honored with the Assam Baibhav Award, Assam’s highest civil honor, at this auspicious moment of Assam Day celebrations in New Delhi. For his exceptional contribution towards furthering cancer care in Assam he will be awarded with Assam’s highest civil honor.

Ratan Tata was the chairman of Tata Groups from 1990 to 2012.

Born on December 28, 1937, Ratan Tata is one of the world’s first entrepreneurs, social workers and former chairman of Tata Sons. He was chairman of Tata Groups from 1990 to 2012 and served as interim chairman again from October 2016 to February 2017. Ratna Tata is currently the head of its charity trusts.

Ratan Tata has won two of India’s highest civil awards, Padma Vibhushan (2008) and Padma Bhushan (2000).
