The Mising are an indigenous community inhebiting in part of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. They are also known as ‘Miris’ and still recognised as ‘Miri’ in the constitution of India. Misings are recognised as a schedule tribe by Government of India under the name ‘Miri’. They speaks Mising language.
