The Dibru Saikhowa National Park is located in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia district of Assam. This is one of eighteen Biosphere Reserve in India. The park covers an area of 765 km2 (295 sq mi). The park is one of the few places in the world which is home to feral horses. They are descendants of 79 horses who ran off from stables set up by the British Army in and around Tinsukia during World War II.
