On the occasion of Republic Day, Shivangi Singh of Varanasi, the country’s female Rafale fighter pilot, participated in the tableau of the Indian Air Force, which came out in the parade at Delhi’s Rajpath on Wednesday.

She is the second woman fighter aircraft pilot to be a part of the Air Force tableau. Shivangi Singh joined the Indian Air Force in the year 2017.

His family has been living near the Phulwaria railway crossing in Varanasi for years. Shivangi Singh’s father’s name is Kumareshwar Singh and mother is Seema Singh. There are two brothers Mayank and Shubhanshu and one sister Himanshi Singh.

Ever since the fleet of Rafale planes from France came to India, there was discussion as to which fighter pilot would fly these modern aircraft.

At the same time, after the recruitment of women fighter pilots in the Indian Air Force, Shivangi Singh, daughter of Banaras has got the privilege of flying the Rafale aircraft. Growing up in Banaras and doing NCC from BHU, Shivangi has the privilege of becoming the first woman fighter pilot of the Rafale Squadron of the Indian Air Force. Not only in Banaras but also in the country as a flight lieutenant Shivangi Singh appeared on Rafale from the Air Force.

Shivangi Singh was commissioned into the Indian Air Force in the year 2017 as part of the second batch of women fighter pilots. Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh, a native of Varanasi district, after training joined the Indian Air Force’s 17 Squadron Golden Arrows based at Ambala. Shivangi Singh has been flying a MiG-21 Bison-like aircraft since she joined the Indian Air Force in 2017. She has also lived in Ambala with one of India’s best fighter pilots, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

Shivangi’s father Kumareshwar Singh said that we are proud that our daughter will illuminate the name of the country along with Banaras. Shivangi took training from BHU’s NCC from 2013 to 2016 and did B.Sc from Sunbeam Bhagwanpur.

Shivangi’s mother Seema Singh is a housewife and brother Mayank is a 12th student in Banaras. Father told that he has a business of transport. Even after living in a normal family, there is an atmosphere of happiness in the whole family due to the daughter’s dreams going to the heights of the country. The father told that – ‘What can be greater happiness for the father than the daughter will fly Rafale.’

Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh, the first woman fighter pilot of the Rafale Squadron, went to Varanasi to pursue higher studies at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) after schooling. In BHY itself, she was part of the 7th UP Air Squadron in the National Cadet Corps.

After this, in the year 2016, he joined the Air Force Academy for training. Flight Lieutenant Shivangi is also the first Indian woman to fly the IAF’s oldest jet aircraft, the MiG-21 Bison and Sukhoi MKI, to the state-of-the-art Rafale aircraft.

At the same time, after getting information about this, there is a festive atmosphere in Shivangi’s house. While the family is proud of their daughter, according to the neighbors, Shivangi’s dreams have always been high and today she is touching the heights of the sky.
