Khelo India Youth Games 2022-23: Madhya Pradesh to host of Khelo India Youth Games 2022-2023. The state government has approved a budget of 215 crores for other sports activities including organizing this game. Under the Khelo India scheme, a policy and in-principle approval of Rs 215 crore 53 lakh was given in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Bhopal under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Budget Approved
The Shivraj cabinet has approved the construction of Bhopal’s International Sports Complex, which will be used for the first time in the Khelo India Youth Games 2022-23. Under which Rs 137 crore 60 lakh will be spent in the maintenance of the complex in three years. At the same time, an amount of Rs 38 crore 99 lakh has been approved for the purchase of machines and other equipment. At the same time, 15 crore 56 lakh rupees will be spent every year from the year 2023-24 for the establishment and maintenance of the sports complex. Whereas for the successful organization of Khelo India Youth Games 2022-23, 23 crore 38 lakh rupees have been approved in the budget.
Good performance in Tokyo Olympics
An important decision has been taken regarding the organization of Khelo India Youth Games 2022-23 in Bhopal after the excellent performance of the players of the state in Tokyo Olympics and making Bhopal a sports hub. The Government of India has given in-principle consent to host the Khelo India Youth Games 2022-23 in Madhya Pradesh. The approved sports complex will be used primarily for various competitions of Khelo India Youth Games 2022-23. It can be used for various international and national competitions held from time to time by the players of sports academies.
