January 2 : India approves two vaccines as a vaccine for the coin aviso. The two vaccines – “Covishild” and Oxford/AstraZeneca of Bharat Biotech – Covishield produced in the following sequences.
January 12: The Supreme Court stays the three force cases amidst the ongoing agitation demanding repeal of three of the most debated agricultural laws enacted by the BJP government in September 2020.
January 16: The Indian government launched a nationwide vaccination drive to prevent COVID19. Initially, the government gave the “Covaxin” vaccine prepared by Bharat Biotech.

January 16: A copy of the 500-page WhatsApp chat between Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami and former Broadcast Audience Research Council CEO Partha Dasgupta, which appeared in the media, rocked the country.
Arnab Goswami came to know about the 2019 Balakot attack and the Pulwama attack in this WhatsApp Chat. Also came to light were derogatory remarks made by a handful of major political activists, leader of the party, newsmen and the democratic cause Arnab Goswami like Navika Kumar, Kongana Ranaut etc.

January 26: Tractor rally towards Red Fort of thousands of farmers in protests along Delhi border since September 2020 against three agriculture laws enacted by bjp government. Farmers’ protests on Republic Day created an unprecedented situation in the capital Delhi.
The protests farmers climbed onto the Red Fort and held a protests. Amidst the protests, an actor named Dweep Sidhu hoisted the Religious Flag of Sikhs at the Red Fort. It may be recalled that Island Sidhu had been working for the BJP in the past and even ran a campaign for BJP MP from Gurdaspur constituency Sani Deol in the 2019 general elections.

April 3: A fatal Naxalite ambush on security in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh took place. 22 security jawans were killed and 32 injured in the incident.
April 6: Polling for the third phase of Assam Assembly elections was held. A total of 40 constituencies of voters cast their votes in the third phase.

April 28: An earthquake of 6.04 richter scale magnitude shook Assam as well as neighbouring states and countries. The epicenter of the earthquake, which was felt at 7.51am, was 11 km from Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district. Unaccompanied.

August 26: Suicide bombing swells at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Afghanistan. 183 people were killed, 170 of them Afghan civilians and 13 were United States military officials.

October 4: Massacre in Kheri in Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh. Mahtia killed eight people in the car of union minister Ajay Kumar Mishr’s son.
October 30: Bye-election polls are held in five Assembly constituencies of Assam. The constituencies are Gosaigaon, Bhawanipur, Tamulpur, Maryoni and Thaora, sequentively.

November 8: Late Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi was posthumously conferred the ‘Padma Bhushan’ honour by the Government of India. Vijaya Chakraborty, Lakhimi Baruah, Gopiram Bargayan Budhabhakt, Dulal Manki, Beerubala Rava, Roman Sharma, Mangal Singh Hazwari and Emran Shaha were also awarded padma shri.
November 13: The President conferred the Major Dhyan Chand Khelratna Award on 12 sportspersons from the country, including bronze medallist Lavlina Bargohai, at the Tokyo Olympics.
November 19: Three of the decisions to repeal the debated Agricultural Act announced. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement addressing the country.
